Gordonsville Tracks

My friend Mike Callahan was the engineer on old Number 10 this March morning. I love this view of Magnolia house and the old tracks, up the hill behind Main Street in Gordonsville. One of my favorite paintings.

Crossing at Madison Run

This was a March morning a few years back. I drove up and felt as though these red and white candy cane gates was the entrance to a Winter Wonderland!

Crossing Gate

There's something about the candy-cane stripes on these crossing gates that gets to me.

No. 7

Saturday morning. Buckingham Branch's No. 7 was ready to depart from Orange to Gordonsville in order to showcase their red caboose at the Exchange Hotel.

No. 10

This is Buckingham Branch's No. 10 engineered by a friend of mine, Mike Callahan. The old red caboose had to be switched out with some other cars just prior to its paint restoration. In the distant background is the rear of the Orange Train Station.
